Predictable check-ins could lead employees to regurgitate what leaders want to hear to avoid disrupting the flow of work rather than reveal valuable feedback. Disrupt predictability and gauge how employees are performing with regular (but obviously planned) conversations.

Use these questions casually in real life conversation and take stock of the results. Look for patterns that could map out potential shifts in employer messaging. Take note of lacking peer camaraderie or general lack of belonging as these can indicate the need for serious culture shift.
